Purse Pooch

I know that the definition on the face and in the fur is difficult to see from this picture, but she was such a cute little puff-ball that I had to take a picture of her, and her mommy (carrying the purse) was in a bit of a hurry, so I didn’t have long to snap the picture.  Still, it captures her essence, don’t you think? Now, I’m just guessing here, but I think I’m pretty safe saying that this little purse pooch is a Bichon Frise. I could be wrong, however. What do you think?

EDIT:  Angie left a comment saying that this pup could be a Maltese with what’s called a “puppy cut*” and I think she could be right!  Thanks Angie!

*“Puppy cut” means that the fur that’s normally very long has been shaved to the length of that of a puppy. We give one to our Old English Sheepdog, because otherwise she wouldn’t do well in the heat.
