Last week I missed “Cutest Pooch,” but our winner was Zeek! Not a classic beauty, but he taught us you don’t have to look cuddly to be cute, so this week we’re going with another not-classically-cute dog: Curtis, the English Bulldog! Personally, I think his smile is adorable. What do you think?

This week, I decided to stray away from the classic definition of “cute.” I happen to think that bully dogs, big dogs, and jowly dogs can be cute too, so I thought I’d put up Zeek here. His owner is Curt Marsh, and I happen to think that Zeek is what I call “adorably ugly.” Is that the same as “cute?” I don’t know. That’s up to you to decide!

Congratulations to Simon, our new Cutest Pooch! He beat out Phoebe, who had won three weeks in a row! Wow! I think it’s those baby eyes of his, and the fact that one’s brown and the other is blue; that always wins over hearts! Or maybe it was just that he sleeps funny. Who knows?

This dog belongs to Jason Gartner, and I think she’s adorable. It sure is nice of her to clean the door glass like that, isn’t it? Cute and thoughtful! In what critics are calling the upset of the century, Phoebe wins “Cutest Pooch” for the third week in a row! Can anybody stop the cuteness? Will we ever add another Cute Pooch to the Cutest Pooch Page? I’m beginning to wonder!

Remember Simon, from yesterday? Well, he thinks he has what it takes to compete against Phoebe! Look at those big eyes, that adorable expression. He’s bringing his A game to the table for this game!

Phoebe strikes gold again, now the Cutest Pooch for two weeks in a row! Congratulations Phoebe, you’re obviously well loved! Your owners must be extremely proud of you, you cutie!

I wasn’t going to show Maggie because I have an obvious bias, but in order to not influence the vote I will keep this short and sweet: I think Maggie’s a cutie.

This is Phoebe, and Phoebe is adorable. Her owner, Earlene, has a story to share about Phoebe:

After having to put down our dog Pepper because of prostate cancer, we wanted to wait awhile before getting a new dog. Sooo, we decided to do fostering for a local animal rescue until the time was right. Well, we adopted the FIRST dog they asked us to care for. She was quite ill with kennel cough. When the coordinator brought her out I took one look at her and knew we were in trouble. Lo and behold we became known as the foster failure parents! (not such a bad title) and she is the BEST dog we have ever had. Absolutely no regrets. Phoebe is the best! And now I day care one dog LuLu and vacation-care another, Star.

To be honest, Earlene, I wouldn’t call that a failure at all. It sounds like she’s in good hands, and everyone’s happy. I see no failure, just a big heart!

So far, we have two contestants who claim to be the cutest dog in the world.

In this corner, weighing in at somewhere around 30 lbs we have Chuck, the Puggle! *yay! cheering! crowd goes wild!*

And in this corner, from our ultra light-weight division we have Trixie the Chihuahua! *woo! crowd continues going wild! hurray!*

Who will be named the cutest in this grudge match of cuteness? Who will have to defend their title next week?
